This house is one of the first houses built in Jacks Point Part of the design was to let the cedar "Silver off". This process involves exposing new timber to the elements. This is a natural process which helps remove tannins and oils from the surface of the timber. Unfortunately, if the timber is not properly exposed to the elements, the "silvering" will not occur and will often give an unsightly patina.
When pressure washing cedar it is best to have some knowledge and the right equipement. Cedar is a soft wood and can be easily damaged. You need to have the correct flow of water, the correct pressure (PSI), and use the correct pressure tip.
